Take risks. Make mistakes. Trust your gut. Go too far. I'll back you up. // I’m currently an educational theatre grad student and grad assistant. When not in classes, you can probably find me at rehearsal for something, somewhere. Over the summer, I assistant direct musicals for a theatre troupe in the Hamptons. I work with a cast of 40-odd kids, grades 4 through 8. Their willingness to take risks and subsequent growth inspires me all year long.

I have an undergraduate degree in psychology and a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling. I’m a published writer (fiction). My academic pursuits, my interest in all things creative, and my experience as a performer have crystallized into a strong desire to facilitate growth & healing through expressive arts. A picture of what that looks like in practice is slowly coming into view.

What the anvil? what dread grasp… Read more The Tyger // William Blake

They shouldn’t have to stop to consider the speed of a bullet or how it might reshape their bodies. But one winter, back in Detroit, I had one student who… Read more POEM: Letter Beginning with Two Lines by Czesław Miłosz
